In 2011, Romney made $14 million while being unemployed
... ...
In 2011, Romney earned $14 million. But as Romney himself joked in 2011, he was unemployed that year. So he made $14 million without even having a job.

That money, of course, all came from investments. But Romney didn’t even manage those investments. Someone else took charge of the decisions.

Romney basically made $14 million in 2011 — putting him way, way above the top 1 percent, which starts at around $350,000 a year — because Romney was very rich in 2010, too. That’s the nice thing bout being rich: It makes you richer.

Compare Romney to a single mother of two who works full-time at Wal-Mart, who takes the Earned Income Tax Credit and whose children get health insurance through Medicaid. Romney says she’s not taking personal responsibility. He says he couldn’t get her to take personal responsibility if he tried. And yet, Romney is someone who doesn’t even have to take personal responsibility for earning money anymore. He’s beyond all that.

Romney’s situation is wonderful. It’s the dream. And he worked to achieve it. I have no qualms about any of that. But his riches have come with a lack of empathy for what it’s like to be poor, or even just not-rich. He’s taken the fact that he’s rich as an indictment of the work ethic of people who aren’t. And he’s carried that belief into his policy proposals. His policy platform matches his comments: He won’t raise taxes on the rich, but he wants to cut Medicaid by over a trillion dollars in the next decade.

Romney Son of Boss Tax Scandal
Posted by
politicol
on August 9, 2012

The latest scandal with Mitt Romney and it is difficult to pick just one, since they are coming out every day of the week is the Son of Boss Scandal.

Romney has a long history with the Marriott Hotels International and the individuals who founded the company and he was also on the Marriott Board of Directors.

During this time the Marriott commenced a series of complicated maneuvers, one of which is called “Son of Boss” where abusive tax shelters are sold to investment banks and accounting firms to sell to corporations seeking to avoid taxes.

The Son of Boss tax shelter method is the largest tax scam in history and avoids billions of dollars of taxes for corporations which of course increases their revenues. The US government countered Marriott’s schemes by not allowing the losses of Marriott and other corporations to be written off.

Mitt Romney hasn’t explained how he blew up his IRA Pension fund to 101 million dollars nor has he released his past 23 years of tax returns that he gave in 2008 to John McCain for a VP pick.

But today there is the Son of Boss scandal where Romney approved of a fictional tax claim loss of over 70 million dollars generated by the Son of Boss transaction. The IRS has called it an abusive transaction which requires detailed disclosures and is accompanied by heave fines or penalties.

Mitt Romney’s Fictional Tax Write Offs worth Over 70 Million in the Marriott Hotel Chain

Mitt Romney played a role in the Marriott scandal as Chairman he approved the fictional tax loss in a tax return which was way over 70 million dollars by the Son of Boss method. This is just one more nail in Mitt Romney’s coffin as he tries to explain away these numerous scandals and tax fraud cases he has been involved in for the past 20 years or more. In fact the Marriott’s claim of a 70 million dollar tax loss was purely fictional.

Mitt Romney is involved in more than a few shady, underhanded and deceptive acts were he personally could be up for felony charges.

The list is getting longer by the day when investigators, journalists and tax experts take a hard look at his financial dealings. The response has been furious and fast on internet media with comments such as: he would regress the economy by allowing millionaires and billionaires like himself to use dirty manipulation of tax laws to avoid paying their fair share of taxes.

By operating many different accounts in five countries, Romney’s empire has many loopholes to take advantage of and he has done so in spades. With an army of tax lawyers, accountants and with the help of other billionaire investors Romney has accumulated more than his stated 320 million in assets, we believe he has billions of dollars stashed away.

But American voters will never know what he has done because he won’t release his tax returns in the political vetting process that is common in every election.

A Brief Explanation of what Son of Boss Abusive Tax Shelters Do

Basically Son of Boss is an elaborate shell game which whittle down capital gains taxes, where a company creates fictional losses to off set taxes. The nation is losing billions in taxes payable by corporations through these loopholes and people like Mitt Romney take full advantage in any conceivable way to not pay any taxes.Romney also likes teaching others on “how to avoid paying taxes” not exactly a role model for a President.

How to Avoid the Law

This is why the tax revenues are so low, coming from corporations like Marriott, Bain Capital and any of Romney’s business dealings. It is time for the IRS to step up the hard line penalties for such illegal manipulations and close the loopholes that people like Mitt Romney now enjoy.

Nao sei de onde apareceu o dinheiro dele, mas que parece pouco parece.

Hustler Magazine Offers Million Dollar Reward for Romney Tax Returns

One of the nation’s top pornographers is offering a $1 million bounty for the publishing rights to a different kind of booty.

Larry Flynt and his publication, Hustler Magazine, have taken out a full-page advertisement in today’s Washington Post offering the reward for anyone who can bring them information on Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney’s “unreleased tax returns and/or details of his offshore assets, bank accounts, and business partnerships.”
“What is he hiding?” the ad asks in bold font, and tells readers the cash reward will be paid to anyone they publish with verifiable documentation of the former governor’s financial records.
Flynt is no stranger to controversial politics. A Democrat, free-speech activist, and self-labeled “smut peddler who cares,” the porn king has a long history of targeting Republicans — mostly regarding sex scandals. Nor is this the first time Hustler has offered a bounty for potentially embarrassing information about a politician: In 2007, the resignation of Rep. David Vitter, R-La., was directly tied to a similar million dollar contract also placed in the Post. And in September 2011, Flynt offered $1 million for evidence of infidelity from then-Republican presidential candidate Gov. Rick Perry .
As far back as the 1960s, Flynt offered rewards to debunk the congressional investigation into the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
During the 2007 recall election of California Gov. Gray Davis, Flynt ironically announced his candidacy as a Republican.
The subject of Romney’s tax returns has been a target for Democrats for months, as they’ve criticized the candidate for releasing a single year’s filing for public review. In that 2010 return, Romney reported a tax rate of 13.9 percent on $21.7 million in income. His campaign says they will release his 2011 return in October, which they estimate was filed for 15.4 percent on $20.9 million.
While Romney maintains he has not paid less than 13 percent in taxes in the last 10 years, predictably Democrats have refused to budge on the issue until presented with proof.
Hustler’s advertisement will also run in the Sept. 11 issue of USA Today.
