Pemides, acho que não foi bem esse o caso. O Cramer disse que "seria estúpido retirar de lá o dinheiro". E nem falava de dinheiro em acções, mas de depósitos.

A disputa entre estes dois pontos de vista parece-me uma questão essencial. Onde está verdadeiramente a defesa dos investidores e dos contribuintes ?? Nos governos? Nos reguladores? Em quem faz análise e recomendações? Estarão bem os mercado financeiros entregues a si próprios porque funcionam de modo suficientemente eficiente para isso (numa visão míope do capitalismo... digo eu..), pelo menos na maior parte do tempo?!
Uma discussão interessante que pessoalmente procuro seguir.
Quanto a mim, a falta de um força de balanço que garanta a separação entre poder político e poder económico é sem dúvida a grande questão do momento, porque se tornou uma ameaça às democracias. Seja feita justiça, os americanos sabem fazer essas discussões.
Já outra coisa é saber se têm condições para promover as necessárias reformas...

A propósito, Cramer vs. Stewart foi uma das polémicas do ano no "jornalismo para gente que se considera esclarecida" dos EUA.
Depois de atirarem "tartes de maçã" à cabeça um do outro, resolvem encontrar-se frente a frente e sanar assim as suas diferenças.
Resulta num exercício fantástico entre dois especialistas altamente treinados, apesar disso capazes de se deixarem confrontar com as suas próprias debilidades e responder frontalmente por elas. Um exemplo de como opiniões muito diversas podem ser trocadas num debate aceso em clima amistoso e elevado, esclarecendo os espectadores.
Uma alternativa ao género de Jornalismo MMGuedes. Há polémica, mas com provocações inteligentes e mais argumentos.
Tem pouca gritaria... Quanto a mim surte muito mais efeito...

"For two weeks, two weeks of the year, perhaps we won't be gripped by the dollar/gold/oil complex, simply because when the markets are up this big -- plus 20% -- major mutual funds preserve their gains and don't take them off the table.
It's been a remarkable year, and in the last 20 years, six out of seven times we have seen nice gains in these two weeks, some as outsized as 7.7% to 8.5%, with a 4% rally on average.
What's amazing to me is that money, according to USA Today, is still pouring out of this market, still going to bond funds, for heaven's sake. I find these outflows to be shockingly wrong. Just putting your money in the Blackrock Dividend Achievers Fund -- kudos to my colleague Matt Horween for suggesting this -- you can get a 7.6% return. Why not go for that one?
Throughout this market, there are plenty of returns that could give you consistent capital appreciation with some additional capital gains. AT&T (T - commentary - Trade Now), for example, has been rallying consistently here, even as we hear endlessly about the problems with its network. It recently boosted its quarterly dividend by a penny, to 42 cents. It is important to consider how much more tax-advantaged that gain is vs. bonds.
The whole moment is captured by the disparity between an AT&T and these bond funds. Why would you avoid a "bond" that raises its coupon and gives you a capital gain for something that will never raise its coupon and could likely give you a loss?
It's just dopey.
As I finish my book tour for Getting Back to Even, I hear these fears every day. Stocks have truly lost their legitimate asset-class stature, even after the 63% rally from the bottom in March.
It's not coming back anytime soon. My hope is that the dividends at least attract attention, because so few believe the earnings can be any good, given the need for the government to continue to stimulate to get things going, and that stimulus on top of the cost of the health care bill makes our deficit out of control and puts us at a much less even footing than just about every country's bourse in the world.
Random musings: I think Amazon (AMZN - commentary - Trade Now) could have a big last two weeks. Only company with sure "inventory" that I dealt with in getting gifts! ... Research In Motion (RIMM - commentary - Trade Now) is a good example of no downgrades. You would think someone would take it off the table after the run, but nobody's going to take that one off with a few days left. "
