2:24PM IRobot confirms it was awarded $64.3 mln contract for PackBot Robots (IRBT) 24.50 +1.00 : Co announces it has been awarded a $64.3 mln Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity contract for iRobot PackBot EOD robots, spare parts, training and repair services. Under the terms of the IDIQ contract, the military could order up to the full $64.3 mln value in robots, spare parts, training and repair services.

For comparison, iRobot's trailing-12-month revenues amounted to $163 million.

Will the buying continue? I think so. Ask yourself, which would you rather have disable a roadside bomb: a 20-year-old Marine, or a PackBot? Exactly. Good thing for iRobot that the Navy seems to agree.
