Clovis Oncology Inc. (NASDAQ:CLVS) stock surged more than 3.50% in midday trading today, after Hayman Capital posted a presentation on Hightail, a sharing site. Through this newly-published report, the firm stated that Clovis was exaggeratedly punished for merely disappointing news on Rociletinib, its cancer drug.
On November 16, Clovis announced that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) required more in-depth and clear results for Rociletinib. However, the company failed to provide clear results, with a reduced success ratio in the trials.
Furthermore, Hayman Capital stated that Clovis’ fundamentals are likely to favor the $45 target price for 2016, and a bullish case of $90. It also explained that the recent stock pullback is an excellent buying opportunity.
