Fez hoje um stock split de 3:2 mas a situação é um pouco confusa:
Segundo percebo o Split implica receber uma acção de outra empresa do grupo (mas não da mesma empresa) por cada duas acções detidas.
Também não percebi muito bem a ideia por trás de "The split, a 4-year-old strategy that was shelved and then revived in January, is aimed at driving up market value for both companies", que basicamente me parece uma grande conversa da treta. Estarei enganado?

NEW YORK, July 1 (Reuters) - Shares of Marathon Oil Corp rose more than 2 percent on Friday after spinning off its petroleum business and becoming an independent upstream company. In early trading on the New York Stock Exchange, the company's stock was 2.2 percent higher at $32.70. The split, a 4-year-old strategy that was shelved and then revived in January, is aimed at driving up market value for both companies. Marathon Oil shareholders received one share of Marathon Petroleum Corp for every two shares of Marathon Oil held on Thursday.
