On behalf of climate realists everywhere, I beg: Spare us the beleaguered scientists story line. The collapse of the hollow cause they advocated, which spurred a sector bubble probably larger than the 1990s Internet craze and the last decade's real estate speculation combined, was inevitable. Billions of dollars - much of it belonging to taxpayers - were poured into climate-related research and heavily subsidized "green" ventures because of the hype.

Um artigo que ainda ontem referenciei no meu blog... Assim que acabarem os subsídios, alguém vai ter que fazer contas... Enquanto, todos pagamos o Aquecimento que não temos...

Bankrupt Europe has a lesson for Congress about wind power.

Wiwo...wiwo...wiwo.

The sound floats on the winds of Ka Le, this southernmost tip of Hawaii's Big Island, where Polynesian colonists first landed some 1,500 years ago.

Some say that Ka Le is haunted -- and it is. But it's haunted not by Hawaii's legendary night marchers. The mysterious sounds are "Na leo o Kamaoa"-- the disembodied voices of 37 skeletal wind turbines abandoned to rust on the hundred-acre site of the former Kamaoa Wind Farm.

The voices of Kamaoa cry out their warning as a new batch of colonists, having looted the taxpayers of Spain, Portugal, and Greece, seeks to expand upon their multi-billion-dollar foothold half a world away on the shores of the distant Potomac River. European wind developers are fleeing the EU's expiring wind subsidies, shuttering factories, laying off workers, and leaving billions of Euros of sovereign debt and a continent-wide financial crisis in their wake. But their game is not over. Already they are tapping a new vein of lucre from the taxpayers and ratepayers of the United States.

Is Global Warming Dead? Stocks to Dump

With the failed global warming summit; leaked emails, faked numbers, suppressed data and major snow storms hitting both Europe and America global warning aka "climategate" seems to have taken a major hit recently. Some are even going as far as predicting the demise of global warming.

This could be a big turning point for global warming. Having been caught in a lie; they have lost massive amount of creditability and now face an uphill battle to convince a skeptical public. Certainly, global warming may regain public credibility, but it will face a lot of scrutiny as it tries.

With the tide turning against global warming more critics may come out of the woodwork and politicians may find it too very difficult to act even if they could get through the "snowmaggedon" and "snowpocalypse" snow storms to make the global warming meetings in DC.

This could have bad consequences for lots of "green" stocks in the stock market. Companies that make solar panels like First Solar (FSLR) and SunPower (SPWRA) could suffer. It could be bad for ethanol companies like Monsanto (MON) and Archer Daniels Midland (ADM).

A crisis averted is good, but particularly for the land owners in low lying Maldives islands. This could be good for oil companies like Exxon Mobile (XOM), British Petroleum (BP) and Chevron (CVX). Coal companies could also benefit with Peabody Energy (BTU), Consol Energy (CNX) and Arch Coal Inc (ACI) being big players in the field. If global warming is not happening that is good news to all of us except maybe Al Gore who may have to deal with a "convenient" truth.

So don't feel bad about taking the SUV out of the garage as it may be the only thing short of skies that makes it through the snow.
