The website you have attempted to access is a known fraudulent website. The following categories of websites are classified as potentially dangerous:
Phishing websites
Phishing websites pretend to be confidential web offers. They achieve this by imitating the design and the appearance of well-known websites of banks, insurance companies, public entities etc. and attempt to get the user to reveal personal data such as account information, credit card numbers, access data or passwords and email addresses. This data is often then used for criminal purposes: For instance to take money from your account or credit card without your permission. The Avira anti-virus labs search the Internet continually for such sites to keep you protected.
“Fraudulent” sites / subscription traps
Another kind of potentially dangerous website may offer free subscription that in reality is liable to cost you money. The user is seduced in to entering their personal data in order to get a free offer. The personal data is then used to send invoices to the subscribers. Avira products block these websites and those listed by consumer organizations. We use the addresses from the [Federation of German Consumer Organizations] (link:
www.vzbv.de) and [Consumer Advice Center of Hamburg] (link
www.vzhh.de) through a special agreement.
Malware websites
A website with a file that contains an undesired program. These programs are malicious software, also referred to as malware. In this category we include adware, spyware, Trojans, backdoors, boot viruses, exploits, viruses (macro viruses, polymorphous viruses, script viruses), etc.

As the fraudster’s methods are becoming increasingly more sophisticated it is more and more difficult to differentiate between fraudulent websites and serious offers. Therefore, Avira recommends that you should never deactivate the protection provided against such websites.
