DUBLIN, Oct 16 (Reuters) - These are some of the leading
stories in Ireland's newspapers on Thursday. Reuters has not

THE IRISH TIMES
- The 11 banks covered by Ireland's guarantee scheme will
pay 1 billion euros ($1.37 billion) over two years to be covered
by the deal
- EU leaders have given Irish Prime Minister Brian Cowen
until December to come up with a possible solution to the
dilemma caused by Ireland's rejection of the Lisbon Treaty
- Irish President Mary McAleese and Irish Centrel Bank
Governor John Hurley will both take a 10 percent pay cut
following this week's belt-tightening budget
- Oasis will head the bill at next June's concert at Slane
Castle in County Meath
IRISH INDEPENDENT
- Senior bank executives in Ireland will have their pay and
bonuses slashed under the country's guarantee scheme, with
