US Consumer Spending 90-Day Outlook

The latest ChangeWave survey finds a powerful transformation underway in consumer spending behavior, with some of the news surprisingly good – but much of it still bad and even downright ugly. The May 6-14, 2008 survey of 4,403 consumers focused on spending patterns for the next 90 days.
In a nutshell, the ChangeWave survey shows the first consumer spending uptick in nearly a year, but lower-income respondents are taking a very hard hit and inflation worries have spiraled to record levels.
