We have taken the description of Choppiness and brought it into this morning's briefing for your review. " Choppiness" is a modern indicator based on ideas of chaos theory and fractal geometry. E. W. Dreiss, a trader based in Australia, came up with the creative idea of using fractal geometry as a way to measure price movement in a security. He cleverly assigned a "dimension" to a price movement chart. Now one can understand why the previous author decided to change Choppiness to Fractal Dimension. We like to give credit where credit is due so that is why Fractal Dimension has gone back to its original name- Choppiness.
