Patterson to Replace Delphi on the S&P 500; Stock Leaps More Than 6.4 Percent on News
NEW YORK (AP) -- Patterson Cos. shares Monday jumped more than 6.4 percent, or $2.44 to $40.45 on news that it will replace auto parts maker Delphi Corp. in the S&P 500.
Delphi, based in Troy, Mich., filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection Saturday.
St. Paul, Minn.-based Patterson distributes dental and veterinary supplies.
The change take effect after the market closes.
