LONDON (MarketWatch) -- Piper Jaffray upgraded gear maker Ciena Corp. to outperform from market perform, citing consistent visibility provided by major roll-outs including Cegetel, MCI, Inc. , Telmex and Verizon Communications . In addition, the broker told clients it believes some investors are underestimating the potential contribution of the Turin Networks and EMC Corp. relationship.
