U.S. natural gas supplies fall in latest week
CHICAGO (MarketWatch) -- Working natural gas in U.S. storage was reported at 1,808 Bcf as of Friday, February 11, the Energy Department said Thursday.
That's a net decline of 98 Bcf from the previous week.
Stocks were 328 Bcf higher than last year at this time and 313 Bcf above the 5-year average of 1,495 Bcf.
March natural gas futures fell 1.3 percent to $6.030 per million BTUs.
Crude oil futures reversed opening gains to trade lower in recent action on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
March crude futures were down 0.4 percent at $48.15.
