U.S. stocks open slightly lower; earnings mixed

NEW YORK, Jan 19 (Reuters) - U.S. stocks opened slightly lower on Wednesday, as mixed earnings results offset a batch of positive economic reports.
The Dow Jones industrial average was down 13.75 points, or 0.13 percent, at 10,615.04. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was down 1.43 points, or 0.12 percent, at 1,194.55. The technology-laced Nasdaq Composite Index was down 3.04 points, or 0.14 percent, at 2,103.00.
