FOKUS 1-Schweizer Konjunktur 2005 wohl schwächer als angenommen

Bern, 07. Jan (Reuters) - Die Wachstumsdynamik in der Schweiz dürfte 2005 verhaltener ausfallen als bisher angenommen. Entsprechend fasst die Schweizer Regierung ins Auge, ihre Wachstumsprognose für das laufende Jahr unten zu revidieren.

"In Anbetracht der letzten Entwicklungen der Weltkonjunktur ist eine Korrektur nach unten für die Prognosen 2005 wahrscheinlich", sagte der Chef des Staatssekretariats für Wirtschaft (Seco), Jean-Daniel Gerber, am Freitag bei einer Medienkonferenz. Die Gefahr einer Stagnation oder gar Rezession schätzte er trotz der vermehrten Unsicherheiten allerdings als gering ein.

Das Seco will seine neue Konjunkturprognose Ende Januar vorlegen. Gemäss der letzten Schätzung vom Oktober geht das Seco für das laufende Jahr von einem Anstieg des Bruttoinlandsproduktes (BIP) von 2,0 Prozent aus. Die Arbeitslosenrate wird im Jahresschnitt bei 3,4 Prozent und die Teuerung bei 1,3 Prozent erwartet.

Die grössten Risiken für die Schweizer Konjunktur sieht Seco-Chef Gerber in der Entwicklung in der Europäischen Union, und dort insbesondere in Deutschland, sowie einem starken Dollarverfall und einem erneuten Anstieg der Erdölpreise. Allerdings seien bei diesen Faktoren auch positive Überraschungen möglich.

Zuletzt hatten bereits eine Reihe von Indikatoren wie das KOF-Konjunkturbarometer oder der Einkaufsmanagerindex (PMI) auf eine Abschwächung der Wachstumsdynamik schliessen lassen. Auch die Schweizerische Nationalbank hatte angesichts des sich schon früher abzeichnenden Konjunkturbildes Mitte Dezember auf eine Anhebung ihres Leitzinses verzichtet. Und wenn das eintrifft, was Indikatoren signalisieren, wird die SNB wohl auch in drei Monaten die Zinsen nicht erhöhen wollen. Allerdings blieb die Notenbank insgesamt optimistisch und rechnet für 2005 mit einem BIP-Wachstum von 1,5 bis zwei Prozent.

Wie das Seco am Freitag weiter mitteilte, stieg die Arbeitslosenquote in der Schweiz im Dezember auf 4,0 Prozent von 3,9 Prozent im Vormonat. Im Jahresdurchschnitt erhöhte sie sich auf 3,9 von 3,7 Prozent im Jahr 2003.
