(ORCL.O: Quote, Profile, Research) on Monday said it will buy rival PeopleSoft (PSFT.O: Quote, Profile, Research) for about $10.3 billion, in a deal that was approved by both company's boards of directors and ends a bitter dispute over Oracle's lengthy hostile effort to take over PeopleSoft.
