WASHINGTON (CBS.MW) -- Consumer sentiment improved in late July, according to researchers at the University of Michigan.
The consumer sentiment index rose to 90.9 in late July from 89.7 in June.
The preliminary July sentiment index came in at 90.3.
The increase was above the consensus forecast of Wall Street economists who had expected sentiment to improve to 90.7.
