Começo a ficar passada. Estes tipos do Bancobest ainda não me fizeram o reverse split e não consigo mexer nelas.

Alguem com JDSU noutros locais já viu alguma alteração, para além da QUEDA de cotações??

O reverse split é o contrário do stock split.

Se tens 8000 acções a 8 USD e existe um reverse split de 1 para 8, o teu número de acções é reduzido em 8 vezes (passas a ter 1000 acções), e teoricamente o valor de acção é ajustado 8 vezes(para cima), passando a cotar a 64 USD.

Para tua informação o preço de fecho ajustado(17/10) para a JDSU é de 17.04 USD.

Para finalizar lembro que o ticker da JDS Uniphase deixa de ser JDSU e passa a ser JDSUD.

Nada alterou hoje, apenas as descargas habituais em final de sessão... acima de 3.000.000.

Amanha entra em acção o famoso reverse stock split onde, a partida, a cotação será de 17,04 usd.

Relembro que a JDSU esta com um target nos 2,60 usd (20,80 usd após o reverse).

Trata-se de um Reverse Stock Split e não de um Split. Deve ter sido isso que tem sustido a JDSU no patamar actual e, se for esse o caso, quem tinha de vender motivado pelo reverse, então já vendeu.

JDS Uniphase Reveals Reverse Stock Split 1-for-8 - Update

(RTTNews) - Thursday evening, JDS Uniphase Corp. (JDSU, JDU.TO), a provider of communications test and measurement solutions as well as optical products, revealed that its Board of Directors approved a 1-for-8 reverse stock split after it was approved by the company's stock holders on December 1, 2005. The company said that the reverse stock split, to be effective on Monday, October 16, 2006, is intended to enhance investors' visibility into the company's profitability on a per share basis, and added that a higher stock price could broaden the company's appeal to investors, and also reduce per share transaction fees and administrative costs.

Accordingly, the California-based company said that its common stock would begin trading on the NASDAQ on a split-adjusted basis when the market opens on Tuesday, October 17, 2006, under the temporary trading symbol "JDSUD". The company added that the trading symbol would revert to "JDSU" after approximately twenty trading days.

The reverse stock split would reduce the number of shares of the company's common stock outstanding to approximately 211 million from 1.7 billion, while the number of authorized shares of common stock would be reduced to 1 billion from 6 billion. The company said that proportional adjustments would be made to JDSU stock options and other equity incentive awards, equity compensation plans and convertible notes.

The company also said that the exchangeable shares of JDS Uniphase Canada Ltd. (JDU), a subsidiary of the company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, would effect a comparable stock split at the same ratio of 1-for-8, and added that no adjustment would be made to the trading symbol "JDU" for the exchangeable shares. The reverse split would reduce the number of exchangeable shares outstanding to 6 million from approximately 51 million, the company said.

The company noted that upon execution, JDSU stockholders would receive one new share of its common stock for every eight shares held. The company noted that registered holders of JDSU and JDU common stocks would both receive letters of transmittal shortly after the effective date with instructions for the exchange of stock certificates. The company added that American Stock Transfer and Trust Co. would act as the exchange agent for JDSU, while CIBC Mellon would act as the exchange agent for JDU.

JDSU said that it would not issue fractional shares as a result of the reverse stock split and added that the transfer agents, American Stock Transfer and Trust Co. as well as CIBC Mellon, would aggregate all fractional shares and arrange for their sale on the open market shortly after the effective date. After the sale, the company said that shareholders would receive a cash payment from the transfer agents in an amount equal to the shareholders' pro rata share of the total net proceeds of these sales, and added that no transaction costs would be assessed.

JDSU closed Thursday's regular trading session at $2.15, down $0.03 or 1.38%, on a volume of 15.54 million shares.

Bem, o split é já na segunda feira... Em cada 8 acções dá uma acção (72,2 usd na cotação de hoje). Este aumento da cotação ira acolher outro tipo de investidores e penso que a coisa podera ficar porreira para o pessoal que entrou nos ultimos dias entre os 2.08 usd e os 2.17 usd.

Actualmente a acção esta ascendente.

A ver vamos, mas agradeço mais comentarios.

Mantêm-se os pressupostos do post de cima do Wolfmen. Não existe nenhum tendência definida neste título. Ter-se-á que aguardar pelo reverse-split que será feito nos próximos dias para ver o que vai acontecer.

QT-600 Ethernet and Triple-Play Test Probe Monitors More than 500 IPTV Transport Streams

Milpitas, Calif., and Paris, October 9, 2006 – JDSU today announced new IPTV transport stream monitoring capability to its QT-600 Ethernet and triple-play probe, part of JDSU’s NetComplete service assurance IPTV offering that is the only test solution on the market to address quality of service (QoS) from the head end into the home.

The QT-600 IPTV transport stream monitoring capability – which can track more than 500 streams – strengthens the ability of service providers to ensure accurate signaling and quality viewing. As IPTV content travels through the content delivery chain, the QT-600 now helps providers catch and resolve impairments that can be introduced anywhere along that chain, all of which pose a threat to the end user’s IPTV quality of viewing experience.

The ability to monitor several hundred transport streams simultaneously also enables the QT-600 to measure and calculate key IPTV quality indicators that enable service providers to proactively detect quality degradations before impacting the level of service to the customer.

na quebra dos $ 2,28/30 penso que tem boas hipóteses de fechar o gap
na quebra dos $ 2,05/00, o que seria bastante mau, deve vir testar o próximo suporte pelos $ 1,75

quanto ao reverse-split, penso que mal não ira fazer, ate porque depois, um tik de diferença deixa de ser uma % alta e já se entra com mais facilidade.
para alem de que entra no “radar” de investidores que não negoceiam acções abaixo de um determinado valor

o factor psicológico é um pouco como os split's “normais” depende do sentimento no momento, quando o sentimento é bull as acções até sobem com más noticias

certezas eu não tenho (nem quero) , mas foi bastante afectada nos resultados, pode ir aos 2 e recuperar, como pode passar pelos 2 e continuar para a próxima zona de suporte 1,50/1,75

como disse, eu fecho o resto da posição abaixo de 2 e longo só acima de 2,30 +/- com objectivo do fecho do gap

o h&s parece-me que não é de menosprezar, é de ficar atento, até 1,15 +/- são perto de -40%
