ING Global Equity Dividend and Premium Opportunity Fund (the Fund) is a non-diversified, closed-end management investment company. The primary objective of the Fund is to provide a high level of income, with a secondary objective of capital appreciation. The Fund seeks to achieve its objectives by investing in a portfolio of global common stocks and employing an option strategy of writing call options on a portion of the equity portfolio. The Fund will invest at least 80% of its managed assets in a portfolio of common stocks of dividend paying companies located throughout the world, including the United States. It makes significant investments in foreign securities and may invest up to 20% of its managed assets in securities issued by companies located in countries with emerging markets. The Fund’s investment advisor is ING Investments, LLC. The Fund’s sub-advisor is ING Investment Management Advisors B.V.
