The S&P 500 continues to consolidate below the new 1200 resistance level. The narrow range indicates continuation of the secondary correction, but frequent tall blue candles, accompanied by strong volume, alert us to the presence of buyers. A close below support at 1175 would lead to a test of primary support at 1140, while a close above 1200 would signal the end of the secondary correction.

The index is consolidating below the lower border of the bearish rising wedge pattern. An upward breakout would be likely to test the upper border of the pattern, while a close below the low would indicate that primary support at 1140 is under threat. The target for the downward breakout is 1000: 1200 - (1240 - 1060) = 1020; confirmed if primary support at 1140 is broken. Twiggs Money Flow (21-day) signals strong distribution with a peak below the zero line.

The Nasdaq Composite is headed for a test of the lower border of the bearish rising wedge pattern, while Twiggs Money Flow (21-day) signals distribution. A close below lower border of the rising wedge pattern would be a bearish sign, while a fall below 1900 would confirm the start of a primary down-trend.

The S&P 500 has commenced a pull-back at [5], to test the new 1200 resistance level, after weak closes and strong volume at [3] and [4] signaled buying support around 1175.

The secondary correction has broken through the lower border of the bearish rising wedge pattern, warning of a primary trend reversal. If the short-term pull-back respects resistance at 1200, that would add further weight to the signal; while a close below primary support at 1140 would confirm the signal. Twiggs Money Flow (21-day) is well below zero, signaling medium-term distribution.

The Nasdaq Composite is also undergoing a secondary correction, while Twiggs Money Flow (21-day) signals medium-term distribution. The latest short-term pull-back may test the new resistance level at 2100, but in the medium-term the index appears headed for a test of the lower border of the bearish rising wedge pattern.
A breach of primary support at 1900 would signal the start of a primary down-trend.

The S&P 500 gave early signs of a reversal at [2], with a trendline break signaling faltering momentum. Wednesday confirmed the reversal with a close below primary support at 1200 on strong volume [3]. The target for the completed double top is: 1200 - (1245 - 1200) = 1155. Thursday [4] displays buying support, with a long tail and strong volume, while Friday [5] shows a weak test of the new resistance level at 1200. A narrow consolidation or a fall below the low of [4] would be bearish signs, but a close back above 1200 would signal a bear trap.

The index is testing the lower border of the long-term rising wedge pattern. A close below the border would warn of a primary trend reversal; and a close below 1140 would confirm. Twiggs Money Flow (21-day) is below zero, signaling distribution.

The Dow Industrial Average closed below 10400 and appears headed for a test of primary support at 10000. Twiggs Money Flow (21-day) reversed below zero, to signal distribution. A fall below 10000 would signal a primary trend reversal, but the most likely scenario is for the index to continue ranging between 10000 and 11000.
