Mike Tarsala's TechWatch -- CPWR, NVDA, HSIC, RYAAY (CPWR) 5.62 -0.02: We are hearing that the Nasdaq 100 rebalancing will be announced tomorrow 12/10 after the close of market. Each year the Nasdaq makes rebalances to the Nasdaq 100 Index reflecting any necessary changes in size. The actual changes are expected to take place on 12/17, and we're hearing that the following additions are likely to be made: ADSK, ERICY, LBTYA, MCIP, NTLI, SIRI, and XMSR. Projected deletions are CEPH, CPWR, FHCC, GNTX, HSIC, NVDA, PTEN, and possibly RYAAY. Of note, GOOG is not expected to be added, since it has not met the requirement of being public for a year. Most of the attention will be focused on the names being added, since index funds will be required to buy them. But it's also worth paying attention to the deleted names, as some will have the potential to rally after index funds sell them off. Stocks in the deleted group with technical strength in recent months that could be worth trading on a pullback are CPWR, NVDA, HSIC and RYAAY.
